The Colosseum: Doping legal sports

In June 2009 Atlanta will host the first ever doping legal sports event - The Colosseum. For this festival athletes will be allowed to use any form of chemical or any other aids to improve performance and there will be no doping doping testing of any kind. The slogan of the event is Just Sports.
The slogan of the It is planned that this event should, within next 20 years, become more popular than the Olympics, mostly because it will offer more dynamic and interesting entertainment for the viewers. It is predicted that it will generate more interest from viewers, media and sponsors.
The event will take place every four years. USA has been the leader in both event organization and doping development so the first three events will be help in USA locations and the bidding will be open for international locations for further events. It is believed that the event will be regarded as a quality investment for cities, governments and sponsors just as Olympics.
“From the economy side we wanted to cut down the costs and minimize confusion of the viewers. Sport rules are already complicated and the whole doping issue is just adding unnecessary negativity and confusion to sports. If we take out the doping issues we are left with less costs and purer presentation of sports. The only picture the spectators will experience is that of a competition between athletes, there will be no legal or political issues involved with the sport. As our slogan says: Just sports!” announced Marion Jones, The Colosseum press liaison and former athlete.
The Colosseum will feature all of the Olympic sports with an addition of few other sports. So far it is believed that even the first event will feature more than 5000 athletes from 175 countries.
Is this the end of Olympics? Only time will tell. However, at this moment I am more eager to watch The Colosseum than Beijing Olympics.
