Slovenia moves towards Europe
Slovenia has been considered the most progressive new member of European Union and recently it has improved on its standard even more.
European cultures have always been based on a certain level of aggression and intolerance which in fact has fueled the creativity and exploration. This energy has helped European cultures conquer large parts of the world and also irradicate weaker genes from the gene pool.
However Slovenia has never had such a history or tendency and therefore has always felt left out of the “big boys” talk in European Union atmosphere - until recently.
Slovenian government, since it is late for colonial or other such initiatives, has decided to focus on internal ethnical issues to prove Slovenia too can be a tough player. The Slovanian parliament has decided to erradicate the ever lasting problem of Roma (Gypsies).
“No one really liked them. Fortune telling is not so cool anymore and they speak a different language and wear colorful clothes. We are more into darker colors. So many colors in clothing is not acceptable. I mean, imagine me wearing a colorful shirt at work. I would not be accepted. So they are not accepted either.” says the Slovenian president.
“We gave them a notice, we said: you have 3 hours to either learn Slovenian and become exactly as we are - I gave them a photo of my parents as a model - or you can leave this country. And they did nothing. So we had to take measures.” commented Slovenian minister or education.
Slovenian government organized an overnight raid after which, suddenly, there are no Roma in Slovenia.
“I guess their fortune telling is not so good after all.” said Slovenian minister of police day after the raid.
